LED display brands in Nepal and what each one is best at

The LED brands we supply in Nepal each have a clear area of strength. Unilumin and Lampro are sister brands in the same group, covering everything from fine-pitch control rooms to outdoor advertising; ROE Visual is the reference for rental, broadcast and virtual production; Leyard is strongest in fine pitch, Micro LED and collaboration displays; and Evolve is our own line for control rooms, commercial, rental, outdoor and custom builds. The right brand follows from the application, the specification and the support behind it, not from the logo alone.

Does the brand matter as much as the specification?

The brand matters, but it matters through the specification, the consistency of manufacture and the support behind it. A reputable brand gives you a manufacturer that publishes honest datasheets, builds consistently from batch to batch, supplies spares for years, and authorises local partners to honour the warranty.

Within that, the specification still decides whether the screen suits the site. A premium brand at the wrong pitch or brightness is the wrong screen. Choose the application first, then shortlist the brands that are strong in it.

What are Unilumin and Lampro best at?

Unilumin is one of the largest LED display manufacturers internationally, with a very broad range: fine-pitch and COB displays for control rooms and boardrooms, sports and stadium systems, creative and transparent displays, rental panels and large-format outdoor. In Nepal it is a strong choice when a project needs a wide, proven range under one manufacturer — the curved Unilumin P10 building wrap of around 160 m² we installed for STR Advertising in Kathmandu is one example at the large-format end.

Lampro is Unilumin’s sister brand within the same group, built on the same engineering and quality system, with its own product lines. It covers COB fine pitch, outdoor DOOH, rental staging and transparent displays, and in Nepal it is commonly specified for outdoor advertising and tender-based work. The Lampro LDT P8 is behind the highway-facing DOOH screen at Nagdhunga and the junction screen at Lakhan Thapa Chowk in Butwal, and a Lampro LDT P4 outdoor screen runs at Coffee Break restaurant in Pokhara.

What is ROE Visual best at?

ROE Visual is best known for rental, touring, broadcast and virtual production. Its panels are built for repeated handling, fast rigging and very high visual quality on camera, which is why international productions and broadcasters often specify ROE by name.

In Nepal, ROE makes sense for event companies serving high-end productions, broadcast studios and XR or virtual production stages, where the camera’s view of the wall is the product. For a fixed lobby screen or an outdoor billboard it is usually more than the job requires.

What is Leyard best at?

Leyard is strongest in fine-pitch and Micro LED displays, all-in-one collaboration screens and creative video walls. Its fine-pitch range suits control rooms, executive boardrooms and visitor centres where viewers sit close and image quality must hold up to scrutiny.

Leyard also offers outdoor and creative products, but most Nepali buyers come to it for premium indoor fine pitch and for all-in-one displays that replace a projector or a large LCD in a meeting room.

What is Evolve, and when is it the right choice?

Evolve is our own LED brand, covering control-room fine pitch, indoor commercial, rental staging, weatherproof outdoor and fully custom shapes. It is designed and supported by us in Nepal, so specifications, spares and service sit with one team.

It is a strong fit when a project needs a custom size or shape, quick local support, or a straightforward specification without paying for features the site will not use. Like the other LED lines we supply, it carries a two-year warranty honoured locally with spares held in Kathmandu. Separately, our Evolve Signage line covers LCD digital signage, with a one-year warranty.

How do you choose between them?

Start from the application. For outdoor DOOH and municipal screens, Lampro and Unilumin outdoor lines are the usual shortlist, with Evolve outdoor where a custom size suits. For control rooms and boardrooms, Unilumin, Lampro COB, Leyard and Evolve fine pitch all compete. For rental, broadcast and XR, ROE Visual leads, with Lampro and Evolve rental for wedding and event work. For shapes and creative builds, Evolve and Unilumin creative ranges are where to look.

Then compare like with like: pitch, calibrated brightness, refresh rate, IP rating and service access on the exact models. Our brand pages list the full catalogues, Lampro Nepal publishes the Lampro range in detail, and a site survey will narrow the field to the two or three models that genuinely fit your site.

Common questions

Which LED display brand should I choose in Nepal?

There is no single best brand; each is strongest in particular applications. Lampro and Unilumin cover a broad range including outdoor advertising and control rooms, ROE Visual leads for rental and broadcast, Leyard for premium fine pitch and Micro LED, and Evolve for custom and locally supported projects.

Are Lampro and Unilumin the same company?

They are sister brands within the same group, built on the same engineering and quality system, but each has its own product lines and model ranges. Neither is a sub-brand of the other.

Which LED brand is used for outdoor billboards in Nepal?

Several brands are used. Among our own installations, Lampro LDT P8 screens serve DOOH sites at Nagdhunga and Lakhan Thapa Chowk in Butwal, and a curved Unilumin P10 building wrap serves STR Advertising in Kathmandu.

Is ROE Visual available in Nepal?

Yes, we supply ROE Visual in Nepal. It is best suited to rental, touring, broadcast and virtual production work, where on-camera image quality and fast rigging matter most.

Do all LED brands come with the same warranty in Nepal?

All the LED lines we supply carry a two-year manufacturer warranty honoured locally, with spares held in Kathmandu. Our Evolve Signage LCD line carries one year. Other suppliers’ terms vary, so always ask where the warranty is honoured.
